Ukrainian border guards receive 50 cars from MK Foundation

The MK Foundation, together with partners from the cyber community, has handed over an entire fleet of vehicles to the military of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to fulfill strategic tasks.

This was reported by the border guards themselves, and BNNbreaking also informed.

As it became known, 50 vehicles were given to the soldiers of the 6th Border Guard Detachment. The border guards will use the minibuses directly to perform tasks in the combat zone.

A solemn handover ceremony was organized in Volyn region. During the event, the military noted the high quality of the minibuses, which will help them to perform their tasks effectively. In his speech, Alexander Osoka, Director of the MK Foundation, outlined the main goal of the initiative: to accelerate Ukraine’s victory by providing the military with everything they need.

Colonel Roman Kosmina, Deputy Head of the Sixth Border Guard Volyn Detachment for Arms and Equipment, thanked the volunteers for providing the border guards with Volkswagen T5s. These vans are the most suitable for use in the combat zone. The fact is that they are oversized and maneuverable. In addition, they have the necessary camouflage, so it will be difficult for the enemy to notice such vehicles.

Border guards also noted that Volkswagen T5s are versatile and can perform a variety of tasks. In particular, they are often used for both cargo transportation and evacuation of the wounded.

The MK Foundation delivers vehicles to the military on a regular basis, so it already has direct contacts with the border guards. They received exactly the vehicles they ordered and that met their needs. The foundation often sends aid to the military in cooperation with the NAVI e-sports team and the developers of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. This time, Maincast studio, whose investor businessman Maxim Krippa also joined the project.

In total, the foundation has already managed to transfer more than 160 cars to various units. It is known that the aid was delivered to the First, Third, Fourth and Eleventh Brigades. The charitable organization does not stop there and continues to prepare for new deliveries of minibuses for the military.

The State Border Guard Service is confident that such assistance will increase the efficiency of the units, particularly in areas of active combat against aggressors. The minibuses will not only allow them to perform combat missions quickly, but will also help save the lives of the military when they need to move quickly.
